My research focused on major Canadian cities (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) regarding education and crime rater. I utilized info from Statscan, Toronto Police Services, and the Vancouver Police Department; making sure that I was using the most up-to-date data available. To bring more depth to the research, I included the rate of specific types of crime that could be compared across the three major cities.

Exploring differnt visualization methods, I experimented with iconography and compositions that would effectively communicate the research visually. I illustrated rounded icons that symbolized different crime rates that contrasted well with the industrial sharp nature of Helvetice Neue. 

In terms of colours, I decided to use PMS 021 U as a spot accent colour to represent crime and dark purple for the background to allow for maximum contrast. Additionally, different values of grey were used throughout the infographic to aid in the hierarchy between elements.
